TEAM PROFILE:

Established in the year of 2023, Honor Dance Academy serves in the Greater Sacramento area. The school specializes in teaching and choreographing Chinese classical and ethnic folk dances. It combines basic dance techniques and physical training to enhance the students' level of dance artistry and physical health. Since its inception, the school has garnered substantial teaching achievements. With Mr. Lei Yang's original choreography, students have performed in many Chinese and mainstream social events. These include NBA Kings halftime shows, multi-ethnic cultural festivals, various local Chinese Spring Festival celebrations, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dance Competitions and National Day festivities. Through these performances, they have presented the local audiences with dances that are rich in traditional Chinese cultural elements.

Achievement and Award:

Under Mr. Yang's original choreography, both the adult and children's classes have garnered outstanding achievements in numerous domestic and international competitions, securing many accolades. The notable entries include performances at the Taoli Cup, ACT1 Talent Dance Competition, Starbound Talent Competition, among others. The children's performances "Left Finger Moon" and "Mulan" earned third place in their respective age categories at the ACT 1 TALENT competition. Additionally, "Flowers," "Jiuzhou Tong," "Kung Fu Fan," and "Pipa Rain" achieved first to third place in their age groups at the STARBOUND TALENT competition. Solo performances also shone brightly, with "Nirvana" securing High Gold and first place in the Senior category. "Wing Lian" received High Gold in the Teen category, while "Riverside Evening" took home High Gold and first place for Teen Group pas de deux. "Elephant King Walk" was awarded High Gold and the Judges' Special Award in the Teen category, and "Lotus" achieved High Gold in the Junior category. Additionally, works such as "Blue Wind," "Peach Blossom Smile," and "Yonghe" clinched first place in their dance competitions.
